Hi everyone. My name is Lucy. Today, I’m going to talk about Singapore. There are 5,612,300 people in Singapore. Singapore climate is relatively similar to Vietnam’s climate, it is tropical and sunny all year round. With the impact of the coastal zone, the temperature in Singapore is almost maintained between 24oC and 32oC. Singapore has very high humidity, about 84.4%. December is the month of continuous rain, February is the month of sunshine throughout the month, July and August are the hottest months with high maximum temperature. Singapore is a multi-ethnic country with many festivals and Tet holidays of many countries such as Malaysia, India, China, Western countries … The color festival of Singapore – Thaipusam: is held annually to pay homage to the Hindu god Subramaniam (Lord Murugan). Chingay Festival: Chingay Parade or Chingay street festival is held annually in Singapore during the Lunar New Year. This is an opportunity for Singaporeans to express and strengthen their multiracial culture. I like Singapore’s national flower is the Vanda Miss Joaquim flower – an orchid that blooms all year round. This flower is a symbol of wishes, aspirations for rise and progress of this island nation.
