Tet, also known as Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean their house and decorate with flowers such as kumquat tree or peach blossom. A huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes. Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut, …and candies are the foods that must have on Tet holidays. During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes. However, the Vietnamese believe that the first visitor a family receives in the year determines their fortune for the entire year, people never enter any house on the first day without being invited first. Another custom is giving lucky money, which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, people can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors,… Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success,… To Vietnamese, Tet is the happiest time of all year around, members in a family can gather together, which is a meaningful messages of Lunar New year festival. All in all, Tet is all about back to origins, be good to others, enjoy the precious moment, and wish for the best to come.

Tuy nhiên, ngày nay, mọi người có thể đưa lì xì cho bất cứ ai từ bạn bè, bố mẹ, hàng xóm, … Bên cạnh đó, người Việt Nam thường đến đền hoặc chùa để cầu nguyện sức khỏe, giàu sang, thành công,… với người Việt Nam, Tết là khoảng thời gian vui vẻ nhất của cả năm, các thành viên trong gia đình có thể tụ họp, là thông điệp ý nghĩa của lễ hội Tết Nguyên Đán. Wrestling is a very popular game during the early spring festivals in my hometown. The arena is usually wide, flat, maybe village communal ground, on which people spread a large canvas with two concentric circles, one big and small as the frontier for the game. The fighters are usually large, pulling men from different villages. On the day of the contest, the whole village was very crowded, old and young, everyone left their work to help each other out of the village to see things, covering the whole field. The wrestler ceilings, default only to short shorts, have different colors for differentiation. When the referee signaled to start the match, two bisexual muscular wrestlers rushed in, powering their opponents in cheering cheers of the viewers. On the field at this time, the two wrestlers did not yield to anyone, who had anyone, long eyes, content, sweat like water, the opponent’s belt grip on the field. After a moment of competition, finally heard the whistle of the referee, an excellent wrestler knocked out the opponent to advance to the next round.The spectators shouted, the atmosphere combined with the drum, the wind, the whistle, oh, it’s fun. The wrestling show took place until the end of the afternoon, the matches were also extremely exciting and attractive. I hope that, in the following spring, the competition will continue to be held, because it shows the martial spirit of our nation.
