The Mid-Autumn Festival held the meeting lights for you last year was really fun. Mom bought me a butterfly lantern. On the evening of the full moon in August, when I heard the frog drums rushing in the alley, I hurriedly took the lantern and joined the tiny army, heading to the wide lawn at the top of the village, and then made a circle around the field. After the sister in charge, we lined up in a long line around the neighborhood, led by two dragons. Where the lights go, the sound of the drum resounds, making the whole neighborhood bustle like a big festival. After taking the light for a turn, we went back to the grass to prepare to destroy the deck. The performance of breaking the deck is as fun as the light procession. We ate candies and fruits while doing entertainment. When the moon was high, we left. That festival left me with many unforgettable memories.

Tối hôm rằm tháng Tám, khi nghe thấy trống ếch dồn dập ngoài ngõ, tôi vội xách đèn lồng ra nhập vào đoàn quân tí hon tiến về bãi cỏ rộng đầu xóm rồi quây thành vòng tròn quanh bãi. Sau lời tuyên bố của chị phụ trách, chúng tôi xếp thành hàng dài đi vòng quanh xóm, đi đầu là hai con rồng. Đèn rước đèn đèn đi đến đâu, tiếng trống vang lên đến đó, làm cả xóm náo nhiệt lên như ngày hội lớn. Rước đèn được một vòng, chúng tôi quay lại bãi cỏ để chuẩn bị phá cỗ. Tiết mục phá cỗ cũng không kém phần vui vẻ như khi rước đèn. Chúng tôi vừa ăn bánh kẹo, hoa quả, vừa tiến hành văn nghệ. Khi ông trăng đã lên cao, chúng tôi mới ra về. Ngày hội đó đã để lại cho tôi nhiều kỉ niệm khó quên.

New Year is one of the most important festivals in Viet Nam. New Year oftens fall between late January and early February. On that day, people go to the temples, visit their relatives. New Year helps people gather together. People can return their homes and take care of their family after a year of work. People osten decorate their home before New year one week. At New Year people have new clothes like jeans, shirts and especially tradityional Vietnamese dresses….Especially, the children can receive lucky money. At New year, they eat rice, Chung cake and Tet cake… I like New Year because at New Year I can visit my grandparents, help my mother cook meals and I don’t have to go to school.
