Perhaps the days bordering Tet in 2020 are the most joy and excitement in my life. But the Tet holidays are what they expect more than ever. Tet in my hometown, Tet in a market is really meaningful and a memorable thing to start a new year.Spring comes, Tet has knocked on everyone’s house, the joy is doubled, happiness multiplies. Children look forward to Tet even more than adults. Adults say Tet is fun but there are more things to worry about, buying more things and spending more money. But children do not care about that, because Tet is a dip for us to have more new clothes, receive lucky money, gifts and not all food and not study. Perhaps that is what every child enjoys.I don’t know what Tet is like in other places, but Tet in my hometown is always full of laughter and blessings for each other a peaceful and prosperous new year. On the small roads still stinking with stones, the grass covering the path has been very cleanly trimmed by the village. Because in my neighborhood, every 30 New Year afternoon, everyone will gather together to clean the streets and villages to prepare for Tet. Everyone is eager and hard-working, no one is envious, everyone works hard and enthusiastically. The kids are a little nonsense, they keep asking for their parents to do it, but if we can do it for a while, it’s boring to leave it to play. The Fatherland flags are hung high on the bright red tile roof, fluttering in the sky creating a cheerful and exciting atmosphere. Perhaps spring makes the atmosphere of every home warm and peaceful. Although the weather was still cold, the morning dew was still lingering on the tree branches but everyone’s smiles were always on their lips.On New Year’s Day, children are eager to choose the latest and beautiful clothes to wear, go out, to wish their grandparents longevity. Every kid gets a shirt with a big, large pocket to hold the candies and lucky money. That is also what I look forward to during the Tet holidays. On New Year’s Day, big cars carry peach branches from the mountains. Everyone in the village quickly picked up a peach branch with many buds, bright pink in the middle of the yard. Because peaches signal Tet to come in the spring, peaches will have New Year’s flavor. On the 30th and 1st of the first day, every house is smoky of fragrant, fragrant scent smoke. Every year, my mother kept making a lot of delicious dishes to worship her ancestors and ancestors every two days. Mother said that on Tet holiday, grandparents would go home, eat meals with their children and grandchildren, and above all, to reunite. Mother told the New Year to be obedient so that adults can give lucky money, so children on Tet holiday do not have anyone harassing or mischief.Tet dishes are very crowded and meaningful, people are happy and warm together, tell each other about their plans for the new year, and children only worry about adults forgetting the lucky money. Tet in my hometown lasted until the 10th, because people told me to finish the confectionery before Tet. Every family packs a lot of banh chung, so they can’t eat it all.
Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.
