-> The singer who is famous for her charity work is My Tam.
– Hai câu này có từ chung là “the singer” và “She”. Viết lại câu thứ nhất cho đến từ chung ( the singer ), sau đó viết câu lại hết thứ 2 thay từ chung ( she ) bằng “who” ( vì chỉ người ), câu đầu tiên còn lại gì ghi hết.
2. Samuel Johnson was the son of a bookseller. Samuel Johnson was born in 1709.
-> Samuel Johnson, who was born in 1709, was the son of a bookseller.
( Câu này có tên riêng chỉ người “Samuel Johnson” -> là mện đề quan hệ không xác định nên có dấu phẩy -> C2 đúng , C1 sai vì không có dấu phẩy )
3. The singer is Mary. She has a beautiful voice.
-> The singer who has a beutiful voice is Mary.
– Các trường hợp dùng dấu phẩy trong mệnh đề quan hệ:
+ Là tên riêng của một người
+ Có các tính từ sở hữu: his, her, our, my…….
+ Có các từ chỉ định: this, that, these, those……….
