Dear Peter!
Today I will tell you about Tet in Vietnam. Tet Nguyen Dan, also known as the Lunar New Year, is the official festival of the Vietnamese people. Tet begins on January 1 of the lunar calendar every year. Before Tet, the Vietnamese have customs such as “worshiping Apple Quan” and “worshiping Tat Nien”. In the last days of the year, everyone goes shopping for peaches and kumquats in the North, Central or tomorrow in the South. Some activities during the New Year’s Day such as Building bamboo tree, Wrapping banh chung, banh Tet, Welcoming New Year’s Eve … What about Peter? Please reply me in the letter!

Hôm nay tôi sẽ nói cho bạn về Tết ở Việt Nam. Tết Nguyên Đán hay còn gọi là tết âm lịch, là lễ hội chính thống của dân tộc Việt Nam. Tết bắt đầu từ ngày 1/1 âm lịch hàng năm. Trước ngày Tết, người Việt có các phong tục như “cúng Táo Quân” và “cúng Tất Niên”. Vào những ngày cuối năm, mọi người cùng đi sắm đào và quất ở miền Bắc, miền Trung hay mai ở Miền Nam. Một số hoạt động trong ngày tết như Tục dựng cây nêu, Gói bánh chưng, bánh tét, Đón giao thừa… Vậy còn Peter thì sao? Hãy trả lời tôi trong thư nhé!
