Tet is the most popular festival in VN. It held in the first day of every year.
At Tet, people visit another family and wish to all members in that family, also lucky money to chidren to hope them will study better and more lucky. They also make Chung cake and gather in living room to enjoy together, it is crowded and happy. In the evening, all family gather in a place and look firework together. At Tet, people play traditional games all day , of corse they smile all day, it is so happy.
Tet is time to gather and the most happy time of the year, I love Tet so much
In Viet Nam, Tet is the most important and the busiest time of the year, and that lasted for more than 2000 years. It is usually in February. Before Tet, the streets around the city are very beautiful with lots of colorful lights and red banners. And at this time, people are preparing for Tet, such as: buy new clothes, clean and decorate their houses with apricot blossoms or peach blossoms, cook traditional foods, buy gifts,… At Tet, there are a lot of popular activities, such as: eat special foods, visit other family members of friends, children receive lucky money, go to the pagoda, play traditional games,,… There are some activities people should do at Tet, such as: behave well, make wishes, visit relatives, visit friends,… Besides, there are also things that people shouldn’t do, such as: eat lots of sweets, break things, fight, bring home a black cat, ask for lucky money, play games all night,…
