Tet in my hometown is extremely bustling and crowded. Family members from before New Year’s Eve nearly a week have started to clean the house. Everybody’s home bustling with voices and buzzing. One house borrowed a temporary shovel, another borrowed a bucket temporarily, joyful atmosphere filled everywhere. After that hard cleaning day, it was shopping and preparing Tet holiday items. The market suddenly bustled up. Which is new clothes, new shoes, fruits … Children and family members go shopping, chirping only things that catch the eye. The most popular Tet holiday is red, so the whole market is surrounded by a crimson color, symbolizing luck. The fresh fruits are used to display the five fruits, colorful flowers with the meaning of bringing fortune and happiness, each with enough.
I used to go to Tet. People decorate the streets with a variety of flowers throughout the week. During Tet holidays, more and more people come to enjoy flowers, draw pictures, and take pictures. You can see it being held all over the country of Vietnam. Sometimes when people don’t go out, they stay home to play games, watch TV and pick up guests. And on New Year’s Day, we have so many places to go to take beautiful pictures. But a few will not go to crowded places. They will come to a quiet and peaceful place. They will drink coffee, juice or an espresso, while reading. There are many foreigners who often come to Vietnam on Tet occasion to explore Vietnamese culture and cuisine
