Once upon a time, there was a woodcutter named Cuoi. Every day, Cuoi carried his ax into the deep forest to collect firewood. One day, while entering the forest, Cuoi was attacked by a small tiger. Life-threatening cobblestones hit the tiger’s head, causing it to fall to the ground. At that time, the mother tiger just arrived. Cuoi was too afraid to climb up the tall tree to hide. Cuoi saw the tiger mother bent down to look at her child and ran to a nearby bush, biting a handful of leaves to chew her child. Just a few minutes later, the tiger came back to life as if nothing had happened. The mother and the tiger went to the deep forest together. Cuoi knew that the other tree was a valuable medicinal plant, so she jumped down, digged, and brought back to plant in the garden. By chance, Cuoi met an old man lying dead on the grass. Cuoi immediately plucked the leaves to chew for him. Miraculously, just as soon as he finished, the old man opened his eyes and sat up, the old man suddenly woke up when he thought he was dead, he immediately asked Cuoi. Ending the words of the old man:

    –  Oh my God! This tree must be a tree with “reincarnated reincarnation” magic. God has given me so that I can help the people well, take good care of them, remember to water the plants with clean water, do not water the dirty water lest the trees fly into the sky. Said the old man with a cane and then go. Cuoi happily carried the tree home and planted it in the east garden corner. Remembering the old man’s words, every day watering with clear well water. Since the date of the availability of precious medicinal plants, Cuoi has helped many people. Cuoi is a gentle and simple person who has come to help. Cuoi is extremely loved by the villagers. Thanks to that precious medicinal plant, Cuoi has saved many people from the accident. He also saved the daughter of a rich man, so he was accepted by this man as his husband. Cuoi and his wife love each other very much. But one day, his wife broke her head, and he had to use clay to make a fake brain instead of her head and use precious tobacco to cure him. Yet his wife still awoke but had amnesia. One day, due to forgetting her husband’s words, Cuoi’s wife sprinkled water on the base of the precious medicinal plant, making it slowly leave the ground soaring. Cuoi saw that, afraid of losing precious trees, rushed back to grasp the tree’s roots and was swept along to the moon by the tree.

The dish I like to eat is very familiar to young people in Vietnam, and it is tea. This is the dish that most children in the countryside expect to bring to their mothers when they go to the market. It is made from glutinous rice, beans with a bit of coconut chips, coconut milk, sugar and crushed peanuts on top. There are many different versions of tea, and each region has its own way of cooking it. We can also add sweet potatoes, bananas, corn or lotus seeds. At first they did not seem to match, but in fact they made a very good combination. Although they may look different, overall it is still a snack that most Vietnamese love to eat. Besides, they also have positive health effects if we know how to cook them. For example, corn tea and sweet potato tea are good for our digestive system, and lotus seed tea helps to cool the body. They are made mostly from natural ingredients, so I think tea would be better for us instead of other snacks. Tea is one of the traditional Vietnamese dishes, and we can easily see them on a number of occasions such as Tet, Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, or a baby’s first birthday .. etc. Many of them have their own meanings. For example, green bean green bean tea means membership, or red bean tea means luck and success. This is not only a simple dish, but it is also the soul of Vietnamese cuisine. Tea is truly a popular dish, and it’s also my favorite dish of all time.
