What do you think about these habits which have been long practised by children in Viet Nam? Would you like to preserve the” Why/Why not?
(Làm việc theo nhóm. Bạn nghĩ gì về những thói quen sau của trẻ em ở Việt Nam? Bạn có muốn giữ những thói quen đó không? Tại sao có/ Tại sao không?)
1. hand-written homework
Tạm dịch:viết tay bài tập về nhà.
2. playing traditional games like hide and seek, elastic-band jumping, skipping, and catch the chickens
Tạm dịch:chơi các trò chơi truyền thống như trốn tìm, nhảy dây chun, đuổi bắt
3. obeying your parents/teachers without talking back
Tạm dịch: nghe theo cha mẹ / thầy cô mà không cãi lại
I think all of them have their own meanings. However, some of these habits aren’t suitable now since the rise of technology has affected many parts of our lives.
In my point of view, these habits should be preserved and inherited through generations. First of all, hand-written homework brings children the opportunities to practise their signal and help them to remember their lessons longer as they have to write many times. Next, playing traditional games helps them to develop both physical and mental health as well as they can develop in favourable conditions. Last but not least, obeying our parents or teachers is important because we have to respect the seniority. Although the fact that it is important, we still can show our own opinions by nice words, not by arguing with our families. In conclusion, I think we have to take resposibility for preserving these habits.
