Themes are folk art. I was surprised to see this type of art called folk art and it really impressed me. Tanjore is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and is known for the classic painting style of South India. They use fabric, paint and wood. The first painitng Kalamkari style originates from Iran and India. They were introduced 3000 years ago and are used to draw fabrics like cotton. Madhubali is a traditional art style that continues in the Mithila region. This region is native to India and has been traditionally created by women.
