A very unusual evening of Meg happened like this. After dinner, her cat was nowhere to be seen. ‘Mr. Piggy, where are you?!’ yelled the nine-year-old girl, she had been searching for her cat for ages. She peeked in the shoes closet, she messed up dirty clothes in the washing machine, took the food out of the fridge and opened every water bottle,… just to find her ‘Piggy’. Little did she knew, that her mother was heading home after her night shift at the hospital. ‘What a mess!’ she thought; but there was nothing she could do right now, she was just a kid after all, so she decided to leave the entire home messed up and continue her search. When her mother opened the door, she was welcomed with the least expected thing, the exhausted lady called her daughter. Meg flinched at the sudden raise in her mother’s voice, she walked to her mother in fear of being scolded. ‘Everything is so clean and shiny, did you do the chores, honey?’ asked the woman; surprised at the unusual compliment, Meg expected to see a messy livingroom as she turned her head, however, all that caught her eyes was a tidy one, perhaps beautiful. The flowers were arranged perfectly, though her mother had never bought flowers; the books are organized in a fashionable manner; she also noticed that the tea cup was filled with, well, tea. It gave off a pleasant scent that would probably allure every guest paying a visit. ‘You can made tea?’ asked the woman, Meg replied no immediately. She was rather confused by the mentioned event, however, the coming familiar appearance shove away all of the unanswered questions in her head. ‘Mr. Piggy!’ the girl burst out the cat’s nickname in pure happiness, ‘Where have you been all day?’ Meg embraced her cat to her chest as she confessed to the little animal about how worried she had been. Something caught Meg’s and her mother’s eyes, an oversized apron tided around Mr. Piggy’s waist, she also smelt like dust and tea. ( 345 từ )
