1. It is an English subject that I like best in school. I like English because it helps me open the big world. First of all, I can talk with people who are in the English-speaking world. Secondly, I can find many documents written by English for studying. Thirdly, I can watch a movie and news without subtitle. Last but not least, it makes me interesting when studying. To study it well, I sometimes take a note and past it in somewhere in my room. I always do all exercises before going to school. And I am very enthusiastic in the class. English is known to be very difficult and many students hate studying it. It my feeling that the problem is the methods teaching of Vietnam is not suitable. The student must study grammar hardly. I hope it will change in the future. In short, English is very necessary for modern life, I hope all students find interesting.
2. I’m sure you already use at least one social media platform such as Facebook, Google Plus, Zalo,… Do you find it more advantageous or more disadvantageous? Let’s take a look at some pros and cons of social networking. On one hand, social networks bring about lots of advantages. First and for most, they are the fastest and most convenient way people communicate nowadays. People no longer need to write or send the letter and wait for a long time before receiving the responses. They just need a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop that is connected to the Internet to talk face to face with the others even when they live far from each other. Another huge advantage of social networks is that they are a way to spread beautiful messages. For example, when there is someone meeting difficulties, people can post information on Facebook or Zalo to raise fund. Thanks to social platforms, there are many disable are helped and many people living in poverty can be supported. Besides, social networks help firms and corporations advertise their products and buy them online, which raise their revenue dramatically. Students use the social platform to share study tips and help each other in learning. On the other hands, social media has several drawbacks. The most negative effect is that people, especially young people, get addicted to social networking. They spend even more than 4 hours a day to check their social network, which wastes an amount of their time. Nowadays, you can easily see the young people on the streets staring at their smartphone to use Facebook or Viber or Snapchat,… Furthermore, even primary children now use Facebook, which affects badly on their awareness. Another problem concerning social media is the invasion of privacy. When you log in, you must provide your private information. Although the social network owners commit not to reveal your profile the hackers can take it from them and when they can. Furthermore, some people use social networks for the bad purpose such as offence someone or spread wrong information. In conclusion, the social network is beneficial when you make use of it. I suggest that you take responsibility for what you do and protect your privacy. Be careful with what you post and treat others as if you were in a face-to-face situation.
3. We owe a lot to some people around us because it is them, who help us, one way or another, to become the persons we are today. But, we can probably single out our “teachers” among them to be the “most important”. Today, I would like to talk about one such teacher – my English teacher that is – who influenced me significantly to do better in my life. His name was …, and he used to teach me English at my college. I came to know about him for the first time when I wanted to enrol for an “English Composition” class, but unfortunately, the class was full, and my request for enrolment was denied (because there usually is a high number of college applicants in China but a rather limited number of seats) until, of course, I could manage “special permission from Mr Hang. So, I rushed to him and asked for his permission. However, he wasn’t very happy to see me but allowed me in his class, nonetheless. Anyway, from the very first day in his class, Mr Hang made it absolutely clear that he meant only “business” and that he was going to make English really “easy” for us. In fact, Mr Hang sometimes used to ask each of his students separately if they understood his lecture. He even used to ask us about how many hours of our study schedules were exactly spent in learning English every day to make sure that we were indeed serious about learning English. I really inspired me to do better in life as he was never really ready to give up on me (I was really “bad” in English), or any other of his students, until I succeeded. In fact, it was because of his relentless efforts that I have learned to express my thoughts in English today. Finally, it was Mr Hang who taught me to never give up on my dreams no matter how many times I failed, and how difficult were the circumstances around me.
5. Now, most people are studying English which will help them to get more success in their life. besides, some people study it due to their hobby. with the exception, I am also studying it. Firstly, English is an international language. all of the people in over the world are absolutely paying attention to improving four skill. Because when we want to make friend with each other, we can communicate and write to each other. For me, I can widen relations with people in many countries. Studying English helps me communicate more with a foreigner. when I travel or visit some of my close relative in a foreign country, I will be more confident to chat with them or some people do business with foreign countries, they can understand enough to exchange information with each other. Especially, it is important for people who are about to study abroad. Studying English will help me to work more effectively. because when I apply for a job, I will hand in IELTS or TOEFL certificate for the director. I think this will help me get more easily successful. In my opinion, English is an easy language to study. Mean of words is easy to remember. but now, I study English not well and try my best to learn it. in the morning, I get up at 7 am to learn by heart several new words and listen to BBC, CNN. Sometimes I also listen to English music. in the evening, I practise to write several essays and do some task in fast reading, meaning into word book. But I feel that my listening and writing skill is not good. sometimes I still have some trouble in listening, I listen to English not clearly. for writing, I am often incorrect about my expression. Hence, I promise that I will try to improve my all skill.
7. The Internet is the best communication technology and very popular in the world. Many people use the Internet on a good side. However, in my opinion, many people using the Internet on the bad side for three reasons. First, dangerous people use the Internet to entice someone. On the Internet we don’t know who they are, it is a cause of enticement. They chat to entice girls to rape and whoredom.Second, they use the Internet to publish pornography multimedia. Moreover, they sell pornography VCDs on the Internet. Some people chat about this in Camfrog video chat. Finally, many people use the Internet, not at the right time. Some people play games too much, maybe they use the Internet while learning, it’s making bad result on many sides. In conclusion, although the Internet has many bad sides if we can distinguish between a good and bad side. What do you think about bad things using the Internet?
8. Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam. The season of Tet occurs around the beginning of February and end of January The meaning of Tet is ending the old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back to their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover, they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can’t be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate the ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers. Some typical Tet’s food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake, “thit kho”( stew pork with eggs). Special food can not absent is a sticky rice cake. It is our country’s traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more delicious than our every day. On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons take part in traditional games such as tug; cooking rice, cockfighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. Adults will give lucky money to children. A woman like going to the pagoda to wish good things will come to their familỵ In my opinion, I like cosy and fresh Tets atmosphere. All member of family talks together about a happy new year. I can hang out with my friend and don’t worry about any thing ” Tet” holiday is always in Vietnamese’s heart.
